At Brightside Cakery, we pride ourselves on creating celebration cakes that are unique, beautiful and uncompromisingly delicious. We guarantee your cake will be as good on the inside, as it looks on the outside.

 

We only use the very best ingredients and  support local as much as we can. Local free range eggs, local honey, and wherever possible, locally grown flowers and fruit. The vast majority of our flavours come from their natural source, real fruit and berries, housemade caramels and citrus curds.

We want to make sure all our customers get to take home something really special, so we don't copy other cake makers here at Brightside. However, we are very happy to take inspiration from others, and would love to work with you if you have specific ideas/colours/flowers etc that you'd like to feature on your cake.

Brightside Cakery is entirely an online cakery. We take all our orders via our website, email, Facebook, Instagram or by phone. Brightside Cakery is run from a small, but fully equipped, purpose built, commercial kitchen in Kincumber. We work from home, but it is certainly not a home kitchen.

All our cakes are made with Swiss Meringue Buttercream (SMB). SMB is a premium meringue based buttercream that uses less sugar than a standard bakery buttercream. It’s silky and smooth and buttery, and not overly sweet. American Buttercream can be used upon request if you prefer the teeth shattering sweetness of it ;) .
